Lower Mountain Empty
PostSubject: Lower Mountain   Lower Mountain EmptyTue Apr 01, 2008 3:53 am

This section of the village is on a mountain that is a little smaller than the rest. This is where most animal and plant life live. The higher up one is on the mountain, the less trees and plants there are.

Lower Mountain Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lower Mountain   Lower Mountain EmptySat May 24, 2008 10:17 pm

After finishing the task at the Yamakage's office, the Kisetsu twins had made their way down to the area of smaller mountains, where most plant and animal life seem to dwell. It was also a little warmer down here since they lived in an area of higher altitude, but it was the perfect weather none-the-less.

The two siblings were under one of the largest trees in the woods. Aki was sitting on a thick tree branch, resting against the trunk of the tree as his sister paced about below him, rambling on about who knows what as usual. The subject this afternoon just happens to be about that jounin the two encountered back at the Yamakage's office. Hazumi had already grown a liking to the man, mainly because of his appearance. With his sister going on and on about their new sensei, the blond male sighed as he rested his head against the base of the tree. He did not know why he had to listen to his sister, he already knows how she felt about the man through twin telepathy. Hazumi just liked to talk.

"Aki? Hey! Are you listening to me?" The female was looking up at her brother, who appeared to have fallen asleep. The boy opened his eyes, his brown irises meeting the other pair that matched his.

"Do I have to? Why don't you just keep talking while I go to sleep?" Aki replied. "Already know about how you feel about that guy anyway... You just like to talk."

Hazumi pouted at her brother's response, but she knew that he was right about him already knowing about her thoughts. With not another word, the kunoichi took a seat on the ground, her back against a tree.

Lower Mountain Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lower Mountain   Lower Mountain EmptySat Jun 21, 2008 11:42 pm

A dark robed man trudged through the evergreen forest on this smaller mountain, the brim of his worn straw hat pulled down and hiding his face from view. He spoke to himself quietly in a very dry, hallow voice. "Impassable walls my foot, I guess they wont be able to say that anymore." He was hunched over slightly as he moved among the trees, branches cracking under his feet every so often.
The rock walls of the village had been little trouble for him and took him little time to cross, even with the one guard who had gotten in his way.

"I suppose next time they should double the patrol." A deep breathing sound could be hear for a moment, like that of a mechanical respirator, coming from under the hat."Who the hell would put a village up on a stupid mountain anyway?" He continued to speak to himself.
He hated mountains as it was, too much climbing.
"This damned thing had better be here or we are going to have problems." He said as he stopped under a particularly large tree for a break.
There was another of the respirator noises before he spoke again. "I don't even know where this damned graveyard is. How am I supposed to check it?"
He continued to lean against the tree, his arms hanging limply at his sides. "I mean hell why the hell...." He paused for a moment and listened. There it was again. It sounded like a child, close by too. Slowly, and carefully, he moved closer to the source of the sound. The hunched, dark clad, man stopped behind another large pine and peeked around it slowly. His face was a pretty creepy sight, especially peeking as it was, as it shown from under the hat. The face was long and angular the eyes a pale blue and filled with a lazy curiosity. A metallic mask covered the lower half of his features and looked like a large fanged grin. In the shade of the trees it could have been a very frightening sight to see peeking from behind a tree.
He smiled under the mask as he watched the two young people. A boy was sitting up in another tree while a young female paced underneith him.
He whispered in his raspy voice not so low that it was impossible to hear, "Awe, what a cute couple."

Lower Mountain Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lower Mountain   Lower Mountain EmptyMon Jun 23, 2008 1:37 am

There was a long moment of silence between the pair of twins. Aki had appeared to have fallen asleep while Hazumi was sitting on the ground under him, fiddling with a strand of grass. A sigh from the female broke the silence as she looked up at her brother to speak.

"Hey, Aki. Didn't we come down here for a reason?" she asked, but there was no answer from the sleeping twin. Hazumi continued anyways, this time, her voice a little louder. "Weren't we here because we needed to train?"

There was a long pause, and there was still no answer. It appeared as if Aki really had fallen asleep this time. Hazumi pouted impatiently as she picked up a small stone and chucked it at her brother, only to have him catch the rock before it could make it to his face. Aki dropped the stone, and before it could touch the ground, he was already there himself, inches away from his sister. In his hand was what looked to be a metal pole that can extend, with something on one end that was covered by a large cloth and rope. He swiftly swung it at Hazumi just before a loud clank echoed in the mountain air.

It looks like the training was on. Hazumi had blocked the attack with her forearm, which was covered in a long glove with a metal lining inside of it. Aki jumped back a few feet, but before he could attack again, he heard a faint sound somewhere close by. He could not quite make out what it exactly was, but he soon caught a glimpse of something behind his sister. This made him jump slightly in fright.

Hazumi could sense that something was wrong, and her brother did not seem to be looking at her. Was there something behind her? Curiously, the female turned her head to find what had frightened her brother.

"Whoa! What the?!" she practically screamed at the top of her lungs. For a short moment, the two had no idea what they were seeing hiding behind a tree, but after a second look, they came to realize that it was only a strange man. A little irritated, Hazumi pointed at the man and yelled at him.

"Hey! What are you doing sneaking around like that? You nearly gave us a heart attack!"

[[Enter from Yamakage's Office]]

Strolling in from the Yamakage's Office was Yougan, Rui. He was planning to work under the cover of the trees since the atmosphere helped him relax until he heard a high-pitched scream; one he had heard not too long ago. Worried that something terrible might have happened to his new students, he dashed off in the direction of the sound until he was about eight feet away. Diagonally to his right were the twins, diagonally to the left was an unknown man who he mistook for a beast at first due to the mask.
That must be him...
Rui had placed the envelope given to him by the Yamakage into a hole in a tree which he had marked with a pattern of two shuriken and three kunai. Taking out a fourth kunai he held the end's ringlet steady in-between his fingertips. If the strange cloaked figure tried anything, she/he would be hit with a kunai.

The strange man stood there for a moment, watching the two as they began to spar. He was filled with a sick glee when they finally did notice him, he loved the sounds of a young woman screaming. He laughed, the respirator he wore twisting it into a creepy hollow rasping.
He continued to stand there, his body behind the tree, with his eyes staring unblinking at the two of them. After a brief moment, and a deep rasping, he began to speak.
His voice was low and hollow, like a breeze through a cornfield.
"No, not a heart attack. That would have been too much to ask." There was a hint of glee in his voice as he spoke to the children.
He heard someone approaching to his right, dry twigs and pine needles alerting him. He did not move a muscle, just continued to stare at the children with his pale blue eyes wide.
'I wonder who that is over there? I hope they can give me some directions.'

Without a single move the stranger spoke in a much louder voice, "Excuse me over there!" His voice sounded hoarse and forced, the respirator muffling it slightly.
"Can you direct me to the freggin grave yard?"

He thought this whole thing was troublesome, but then again orders were orders and he needed the cash.

Rui didn't budge, but he did feel uneasy about the oddly dressed person asking for the whereabouts of the graveyard. What business would a foreign man have in another shinobi village's resting place for the dead? He was going to have to keep tabs on him...

Bringing himself to light in the clearing, the Jounin didn't look at anyone other than the guest at hand. "You have just passed it on the way up here. You would have to go back down. It's easy to get lost around these parts. If you'd like, I will escort you to where you need to be."

The stranger looked at the mountain Jounnin with one eyebrow slightly raised, he knew precisely what this man was trying to do.
After a moments silence and a few respirator noises later he spoke, his voice still sounded like the breeze through a corn field.

"Thats fine thanks," he spoke in a sarcastic tone knowing that this man would not likely let him out of his sight.
"If you could just point me in the right direction and leave me alone that would be just great."

He looked back at the startled children and smiled under his mask, he did so much enjoy it when the girl screamed. He did so hope that he would have another opportunity to hear it before leaving this miserable village.

The heavily cloaked figure stood silent as death above the scene listening to those below. Her thoughts ran swiftly and chaotically through her head, this was nothing new for her. Just another job.
Her current employer did not wish for the strange looking man to find whatever it was he was seeking and it was her job to make sure he did not.
Having read up a bit on her target, actually she didn't have the patients to read his file so it was read to her as she prepared, she new exactly what to expect.
The young woman had no clue who the natives were, but hopefully they stayed out of the way. If not, well she could not be held responsible for what happened to them.

A moment after the twins had spotted the strange man lurking around the trees, Rui had also made an appearance. There was an exchange of words between their sensei and the stranger, and the fact that the man kept his eyes were glued on the twins made Hazumi shiver slightly. This traveler, if he was one, was kind of.... creepy, though there was a point when he finally looked over to Rui.

It appeared the stranger had gotten lost on the way to the cemetery, and had just wasted his time hiking up when it was really located at the foot of the mountain. After asking for directions, the man looked backed at the children, as if he were asking them also. Aki guessed what their sensei might have wanted to do, but Hazumi had no idea. She pointed toward a certain direction that led down the mountain.

"If you go back down, there should be a river." she said. "Just follow the flow and you'll end up at the cemetery's gates. The undertaker that lives there could let you in."

The stranger stared at the twin children, his eyes faintly glimmering under the brim of his wide hat, and slowly nodded.
There was another of the deep rasping breaths before he spoke in that creepy dry voice of his.
"Thank you very much young lady." He said with a mock tip of his hat that only served to further conceal his features.
He then slowly swung around, his arms dangling, and faced down the mountain.
As the stranger began to walk away he spoke one last time, his voice quiet and foreboding.

"I do so hope we meet again soon. I would love to hear that scream one last time."

With that he was gone, heading down the hill towards his goal.

The cloaked figure watched as her mark moved towards the cemetery, her eyes following the strange man before she began her silent pursuit.
She didn't honestly believe that the three mountain ninja would allow this stranger to roam freely through their home.
Oh well, she thought as she lept silently from tree to tree, they must not know who they were dealing with.
She continued to follow the creepy target, silent as a shadow.

With the tip of his hat, the stranger made his way down the mountain. The twins only watched as the man became smaller and smaller at the distance between them grew. Once they were sure that the strange man was far enough so they could not be heard, Hazumi spoke.

”Well… That was…” The girl stopped midsentence, trying to find the right word to complete it. Creepy? No, that cannot be it. The man was a little beyond that, especially after he had told her that he was looking forward to hearing a scream. Hazumi shuddered slightly at the thought of the stranger before finishing her sentence. ”Okay, so what was that just now?”

She looked over to her brother, who looked as if he had the answer. After a short moment, she realized what was going on. Both Rui and Aki had found that man a little suspicious, and might have wanted to keep and eye on him. Hazumi rubbed the back of her head and smiled sheepishly at the fact that she did not realize that soon enough.

”Oops… It must’ve been a bad idea to send him off like that, wasn’t it?”

In response to his sister, the boy only shook his head and rolled his eyes. His sister can be a little slow at times.

Aki sighed as he gripped his weapon, looking off into the direction in which the strange man had wandered away to. Without waiting to listen to his sensei's orders, the male twin was standing on a tree branch within a second. After that, he left to go after the man as he heard his sister yelling after him.

"Aki, wait!" Hazumi shouted, but it was too late. Her brother was fast, and he was already long gone. At first, she was a little indecisive about what she should do. She kept looking at the direction Aki headed off too, and then back to her sensei. Before long, she quickly bowed to him and ran off after her brother.

"Sorry! I need to go after him!"
