The Great Beast: Kaibutsu Empty
PostSubject: The Great Beast: Kaibutsu   The Great Beast: Kaibutsu EmptyThu Jul 03, 2008 1:53 am

Kaibutsu, a great and powerful elemental beast, only existed to destroy the homes of our region decades and decades ago. The untamed creature sought to wreak havoc and chaos throughout the whole southern region, that is, until a group made a stand to stop him. Five of the region's strongest shinobi, each one being from a different village, joined together as a team to protect their home. It was a long and intense battle, with each person, and the best, fighting for their lives. However, Kaibutsu's power was too great, and even the strongest shinobi were worn down. They could only use one other alternative: If they could not completely destroy this beast, then they will just have to seal him away.

Using all of the power they had left, as well as their life force, the group manage to pull Kaibutsu's soul out of his body, which then split into six parts; five of them were his power over elements, while the last piece was his actual soul. Each of those pieces were then sealed into objects that the dying shinobi wielded.

Matsuda's Gunsen:
Matsuda is the founder of the famous Oroshi clan that resides in Tenpigakure. The Kaibutsu's wind power was sealed within this razor fan. The fan itself is completely made out of razor-sharp blades. A symbol appears to be engraved into the guard while a white gemstone is located where the rivet should be. Current users of this fan is able to heighten the power of any wind-based techniques. The location of this item is currently unknown, even to the Oroshi clan. A few hunters think the weapon is either burried underground or sunken underwater.

Shintu's Naginata:
This particular halberd is completely forged out of metal, rendering it to become indestructable against weapons that would usually cut through wood. The thin blade is slightly curved as it becomes wider at the top. A teal-colored gemstone is placed below the blade while a symbol is engraved on the base under that. This naginata can heighten the attack power of any water-based technique. Very few know, but the current whereabouts of this weapon is in a large area of confusion under some flowerbeds.

Riku's Zanbato:
The massive zanbato is almost six feet tall and two feet wide. Due to its weight, it is almost impossible to wield unless one has great strength. The design of the guard has been detailed to look like a pair of wings with that looks to be a sun at the center, but in the place of that sun is an orange gemstone. A strange symbol is engraved on the blade collar. Riku's zanbato heightens fire power. The weapon is currently somewhere underwater.

Satsuei's Jouhyou:
A jouhyou is a simple rope dart, but this particular one is constructed from a very long steel rope with an iron handle on one end while a long knife is attached to the other end. On one side of the handle is a golden-colored gemstone, while on the other side is a symbol. This weapon heightens the power of those with a lightening affinity. It is currently in possession of a wanderer, so no one knows where to find it exactly.

Nenamoto's Bo-staff:
Like the rest of the weapons, the staff was molded out of some type of metal. The color of it is red while the ends are in gold. It stands at six feet tall, with a brown gem on one end, along with the same symbol all the legendary weapons have. The bo-staff heightens earth-based techniques. The location of this weapon is known to very few. It is currently sealed within a scroll, which is hidden in the shadow of the sun.

While many are more concerned about the weapons themselves, very few are more worried about the sixth piece of the Kaibutsu, which is his actual soul. Many summoners are actually after this piece, but no one seems to know where it is since it is constantly being passed around. Kaibutsu's soul is sealed within a scroll, and anyone skilled enough in the art of summoning would be able to use the monster's power temporarily.
